Hi, this is my first time on Tom's and saw other people get results so I decided I'll give it a try , when I start my computer it says boot from cd/DVD disk boot failure , insert system disk and press enter, I'm not that good with computers and am at a lost, please help and thank you

Press F12 or whichever F# until you get into boot manager, and select your boot drive.

If it says OS not found after selecting boot drive, then there's something wrong with it.

It might have failed or got very bad virus in there.

We will go in deeper after you try the above.

I have the disk and I tried installing but it said it couldn't find a hard drive , I don't have a extra hard drive only and I only have one in my system but it was working find until like an hour ago , can it break that easily ?

It should not break this easily and suddenly, but mechanical drives can get unpredictable from time to time. I would advise you to either purchase another HDD, or take the 'broken' HDD to another system for testing purpose. Another option is to purchase a SATA to USB cable and see if using the drive as external will make a difference.
Here is an example.
