Kinda a dumb question so be warned. I was wondering why most if not all first person games show your legs when you look down but not your stomach. I'm talking about Bf4 and other games. I find it unrealistic. BF4 I can sort of understand why because your arms might cover your stomach when your holding a gun, but when you hold a knife it only shows your legs. Its like your head is bend over so you cant see your stomach. I have noticed that Star Citizen has this effect, I was wondering if any other games have this effect thanks!

Just my 2 cents, but I think it's partially because most programmers are focused on getting their job done, and making some really neat features, but have difficulty stepping back and seeing the big picture.

Same reason I don't think id Software ever put out a great game, but only good or decent games. Because they were so focused on innovating great technology, they failed to realize that they lacked the artistic and storytelling talent to do something equally as great with the technology they had created.

It's entirely possible that nobody has really voiced the concern before.
