A decent build but I'm pretty sure you'll need more than 250GB of storage. You should also get an AM3+ based cpu and motherboard since you are buying a dedicated gpu and don't need built-in graphics (like the fm2 socket cpus have).

EDIT: Did you mean the A10-5800k? You should be able to get a FX-6300 around the same price.
  2. Ok thanks, and Dayz/ Arma only requires 20GB free space and I can always upgrade in the future. My main concern is would it lag on medium settings or would it be fine?

I'm fairly certain it's not going to lag. By the way, if you're getting a fx-6300, I would recommend this motherboard since it needs the AM3+ socket: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131874R

On a side note: The motherboard you listed for the A10-5800k is Micro ATX while your case is ATX. They're compatible but you're wasting your money getting a smaller board than your case can take.
  5. Okay thank you
  6. Last thing, what's the difference between the A-10 5800k and the fx-6300??

Well aside from the sockets, the a10 has four cores, is clocked @ 3.8GHz, has built-in graphics(which you won't be using since you're getting the 550ti) and doesn't overclock as well as the fx, which has six cores, is clocked @ 3.5GHz and doesn't have the useless built-in graphics. Here's a comparison: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/AMD-FX-6300-vs-AMD-A10-5800K
  8. Alright thanks. I'll go with the fx 6300

    No problem :D
  10. bleh ignore this
  11. I could go up a little.. How much are you talking. I'd like to stay around the same range since I have to buy a monitor and accessories
  12. If you can somehow squeeze one in, a 750ti would work incredibly for you. I'm not sure what you're looking to spend exactly, but right now, that's a great card for the money.
  13. If they're both 2GB why would I pay $150 for the one you suggested when I could pay $95 for the 550 ti
  14. Because that's not at all what measures the performance of a graphics card. More memory just means it can handle higher resolutions. A more powerful 2gb card will give you better FPS at higher qualities.

Well the 750Ti has superior peformance, but it's not as cheap. If you have the money for it I would recommend it, but if not just go for the 550Ti:http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-750-Ti-vs-GeForce-GTX-550-Ti
  16. Thanks for the help so far but Basically, I just don't want it to lag. I'm not too concerned about the highest quality graphics. I'd play it on average settings.. So like I said my main concern is lagging, and having delays when you make a command, type, click, etc.
  17. Well, delays will be caused by your internet, not your hardware. The best build for your money would be a 6300 and 750 ti, the 550ti is a bit dated. Of course it will still work, but you'll realize once you have it, that maybe the 750ti would have been a good choice. It really is worth it, but if you can't get it into your budget, the 550ti will be able to run your game.

It'll run fairly well it seems: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLBsyKkEVlY
  20. I'm not saying it won't run well, but the 750ti will run it much better.
  21. That's perfect. I know that I'm not really going to be into many games since I do sports, etc. but arma really interested me all of a sudden so Ty for the help and the video !
