i have this mobo:ASRock N68C-GS FX
i want to install a new gpu.the saphire radeon hd 7770 1gb ddr5.will i be able to install it without any conflicts and i have psu of corsair 450 w.will the psu be ok if i install this new gpu?as its power requirement is 450W.or will the psu or any other components of my pc blow out?

Solution
As far as I know, that board has one PCI-E x16 connector. So the GPU you mentioned would fit just fine and a good quality 450W PSU is enough for it... However make sure you have good enough CPU that won't bottle-neck the card..

i read a article here on toms about the affects of video memory with results showing a 2gb card is currently needed for pleasing performance and 4 could possibly be overdoing it as 3gb was plenty for extreme gaming titles at high resolution.

so of course it depends on your resolution the fps u will be getting in games. if your not gaming tho that card can perfectly produce a high res image for movies and editing.

if u havnt bought the card allready i would recommend a hd7870, r9 270 or higher

With HD 7770 you will be able to play all the latest games at high settings at 1366*768 resolution smoothly. But going beyond that resolution will drop the FPS.. you can check this link out for a few gaming benchmarks of HD 7770;

The card should fit in the case as it is not a very long card. The length of 7770 is around 210mm. Just open the case and make sure you have more than that length till you hit the HDD cage. The foxconn product page doesn't specify anything about GPU clearance, so I can't give you the exact answer, you have to check it yourself...

it should not be a problem but of course its always best to measure yourself and inspect any possible issues when upgrading such as needed power and condition of cables and fans to ensure a upgrade is worth it.

your not making bad choices i just think that since u already have 2gb it is a downgrade in a certain light and most certainly is if u decide to get higher resolution than you currently have.

saving a few more weeks can ensure your upgrade is completely that.
