I can't get my power cable into my motherboard.

Hey guys I'm working on my first build and I have everything installed but I'm really struggling with power cables. It feels like amost all of them dont want to connect to both the power supply and the components themselves. I had no issues connecting my SATA power to my SSD and that went right into the power supply and clicked in easily but connecting the motherboard power has been super difficult I've tried wiggling it and pushing extremely hard but its just not going in allt he way, it goes in 90% of the way and then stops and doesnt seemt o want to clip onto the plastic clip on the socket.

The same issue is happening with the power supply, the motherboard power goes in but it doesnt click into place on the power supply like my sata power did. It feels pretty firmly in there whereas the cable comes out of the motherboard really easily.

I feel pretty uncomfortable forcing it since this is my first build, I've been pushing really hard and I don't want to damage my motherboaord or power supply.

Lastly my audio connector from the front of the case won't go allt he way onto the motherboard, I can see a little bit of the pins that arent in the socket, is that bad, is it supposed to go all the way? Again I don't want to force it because the pins look really fragile.

The mobo power supply cable can be a bit tricky. You have to be sure you're lining it up correctly and use a fair amount of direct pressure. Also, make sure there aren't any safety locks inhibiting the cable from connecting. Some mobo have them which click in to place afterwards. I don't know what your idea of hard is but I can tell you this. During my last build I had to hold the back of the case from moving while I connected the power cable to the mobo.

Best of luck.
