help my computer keeps freezing and locking

Here are usual suspect reasons for this:
Virus or malware infection
Failing hard drive
Too many bad sectors
Corrupt partition or operating system
Can you give a little history on the computer and situation please

Hi it is a Susan computer and I like Firefox as my browser but at the moment it is driving me crazy I have pictures but no music on it play cards and the FB thing and shopping does this help?
