Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R9 270 with Boost OC 2 GB DDR5
Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon R9 270x with Boost OC 2 GB DDR5

NOTE: Say the one that well suits both (no SLI or crossfire) the above GPUs..
I'm undergoing a little research and confused abt processors! Just consider I'm at the initial stage of PC build and starting with those GPUs, next CPUs.. No MOBOs, no monitor res, no PSU, etc etc RAM = Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (2x4GB) RAM (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R)

K processors like 4570k are unlocked so they can be overclocked and for that you need z87 chipset motherboard if not want to overclock so 4430 or 4570 with normal h81 mobo are good .

Can't I use any other MOBO for 4430 other than H81 and overlock in future?

for decent overclocking you will need unlocked processors . so h81 chipset is not for overclocking . . what i recommend is 4570k+z87 . . not much cost difference between z87 and h81 mobo

Intel's naming convention has the "k" added to the names of processors that have unlocked multipliers. They are the only ones with the unlocked multipliers. All other Intel processors that do not have the "k" in the name have locked multipliers and cannot be overclocked (technically). In order to use the "k" processors, the correct motherboard must be used. For the 1150 socket, the Z87 chipset is the only chipset that supports unlocked processors. All other chipsets (B75, H81, H87) do not posses the ability to overclock.

So, you can purchase a Z87 motherboard with a non-k CPU. It will work. But the common consensus is it's a waste of money or pointless if a "k" processor isn't purchased. The same theory is applied to H87 and a "k" processor.

Edit: Now you see why we asked about the motherboard you have. As for the cheapest CPU, i5 4440.

Ok, I'm not going to over clock.. Which will be better between this i5 3450 vs i5 4440.. (Tight budget - also say if any high performance processor other than these two at same or lesser price)..

440 for sure . with an h87 chipset is just right on the money . .

So, i5-4440 + Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H + R9 270 (or R9 270x) = Good combination ?
