Im just wondering if i can save myself the money and use my HDD I have in my current computer. It's a 1 TB western digital i got a few years ago, they are pretty standard aren't they? I just dont feel like tearing my computer down to check the serial number. Thanks

Don't get overpriced "CX" PSU get something stronger, and you can use your old HDD in new PC!
Other components looks decent!

Edit: They are pretty standard some drives uses multiple platters and some models have more cache on it but if your HDD is in working condition i think no need to change it!

You don't need to pull the drive out, but we need to know if the cable is a ribbon one ~5cm wide (IDE), or a narrow one about ~1cm wide (SATA).

If it's SATA, you could use your current one.

Only other thing I'd suggest changing is to get a different PSU. 750W is overkill, but the CX series has cheap caps and won't last.

I'd get a good 500W+ one from the second link in my sig. XFX make a nice 550W one that's made by Seasonic and quite widely available.

It all looks ok to me. The only difference you will notice with WD mechanical drive is slower boot times. Games etc won't load any faster either (unless you either have them on ssd or ramdisk. 750W is about right, but if you can get something of the Seasonic's class PSU's.

700w iss minimum recommendation if you ever wanted to go sli. The psu is one area (besides case) that can actually be future proof. My 750w lasted three builds and i'mm expecting the same from my current beast.

Definitely go for Seasonic! and for under 200$ budget get Maximus VI Here!

Look at these parts
