i overclocked my old q9400 to 3.3 and left the ram by default and the FSP

but the speed of the RAM is 850 and my correct ram is 1333

and if i chooses to manage the ram my pc will crash when i start it with blue screen and give me error:MEMORY MANAGMENT

any help

Solution
If your memory frequency follows that of your cpu 1:1 and you overclock the cpu using FSB instead of multiplier, then your memory-sticks can reach speeds where they become unstable (at default Volts).

The BIOS will then lower the FSB divident of your RAM (from 1:1 to ex. 1:2) in order to stabilize performance (in your case dropping memory Mhz to 850).

Your options are:

Reduce memory to FSB divident, must be done manually.
slightly raise Memory Voltage (could be risky, use caution if you're new to BIOS tweaking)
Disable CPU FSB Spread Spectrum , and let Memory frequencies operate at whatever frequency you choose.

It's all a bit of a fiddle, but as long as you don't raise Memory Voltage to extreme amounts, you should be fairly safe.
