Hello!

I'm looking for a phone that will forward a call to a preset number after 4 rings. The phone will need to work on a standard analog line. I have a friend who lives out in the boonies. His office is out of his house. When he gets a call on his business line, it currently forwards to his cell, because he's often out of his office. However, when he's in his office, he gets very poor cell reception. I know that this is typically a feature the phone company provides, but there's only 1 provider in his area (CenturyLink), and they don't have delayed called forwarding. He only gets about 0.8 Mbps down and 0.4 Mbps up internet (and this appears to be the fastest possible), so a VoIP solution is not really a good idea. Is there a phone that can ring 4 times, then forward the call to his cell?

I don't think you can forward from an analog phone.

I'd suggest putting a request to phone his mobile in the voicemail greeting.

VoIP over that kind of bandwidth should be easily possible, though. I've run multiple VoIP calls simultaneously over our ~800kb/s uplink. One should be no issue.
