Hey everyone, im at a tight spot here deciding between a motorola sb6121 router($80) or a netgear n900/n600 wireless adapter ($55/$45). Would it be worth the extra cash to get wired? or should I save my money and go wireless

You can't hook a second cable modem to the network without paying the ISP for another account. If you goal is to use coax cable to wire it to your location you can look at MoCA devices but the are a little expensive. If you can run a normal ethernet then that is your best bet.
You can't even begin to compare those 2 devices.

The first is a cable modem not a router it will connect to the incoming coax cable and give you a single ethernet port. The other I am assuming is a wireless adapter you put inside a PC it will do nothing on its own it needs to connect to some wireless network.
