Hi!

So I'm in the process of building my first computer. As I have seperated parents, I will need to move it between two houses once a week. What precautions should I do?

Are there any big risks of doing it? Or will it be fine if I just move it very careful, drive very careful and put it in the case package?

Thanks! Erik

Nothing really big. I've transported my desktop, my friends desktop and more many of times. If you have to put it in a car, I'd advise putting it in the back seat with the front seat put down all the way. This way the PC does not move due to the front seat's pressure against it. If you want something to carry your desktop around it, rather than carry it by hand, use a LAN bag. I've used mine many times and it was one of the first things I bought when I built my first PC.

I had to move my PCs (three of them) when I moved to an apartment this year. I transported them one by one in my car in the passenger seat, sitting upright, and I placed the seatbelt around the tower in a way that it would not move. This was the only option for me since I literally have no trunk space (car has pretty much no trunk space, I can barely even go grocery shopping). But it worked, and all three computers were completely in tact, nothing loose, everything started up and worked beautifully for all of my PCs.
