What would safe temps be for it? I've OCd to 2.8, started off at 2.6 and then 2.7 now 2.8 and I've tested it too and seems the highest temp on 100% load is just under 70. Is this normal ? I've got the stock fan aswell as a separate fan attached at the back also.
So I finally managed to OC my Intel E4600 2.4GHz on EP35-DS3R mobo but...

according to intel your max temp is 73C

I would think that you may be pushing it.
you need to see what temps you get during heavy gaming and also with a benchmarking program like prime 95
you can always use HWinfo64 to monitor temps and speeds over the testing period. this SW will give you High Low and average

I've used P95 and done it twice today with 2.7 and 2.8 but obviously the pc has been running for 6odd hours and been on 100 load for atleast an hour through both tests so It's sort of hard to see the max temperature for the 2.8 OC as the system has been running and heating up for a while. But tbh I can't OC to 3GHz anyway...blue screens anything above 2.9. Is there any point going above 2.8/9 if I don't plan to game that highly? Cheers for the responses guys
