Xbox 360 emulation, is it possible?

I admit it I am a Halo fanboy, I played a lot of Halo Reach back when my friend lent me his 360. I have been hooked on the game ever since. Only problem is I don't have a 360 anymore, and I really want to play Halo Reach and Halo 3. Some of my friends say they have seen 360 and xbox live emulation with their own eyes, some sources on the internet say it is impossible and all emulators are malware.

Now I will be buying a mid range PC next week and If emulation is impossible I might just buy a 360 and Live instead :C. Yea buying a 9 year old console is pretty foolish but do I have a choice? Cheers.

It requires a lot of horse power to emulate something as powerful as an Xbox 360 on your PC. They say with Mantel support, they may be able to get a better draw rate.

But it's not even close to anything practical right now.

I posted that over a year ago now, I still believe it will be another 8 years or so before we get something on-par with PSX emulation. I'm glad they've made progress, but this isn't close to anything playable.
