Boot problems with unclear cause

Hi guys,

So since today my pc started to act up and I don't know the exact cause, so maybe this is the wrong Forum for it.
Anyways, I booted up my computer earlier and let it run for a bit, while finishing some other stuff. When I came back, it was in standby (which is strange, cause I disabled automatic standby) and the power button didn't do anything, so only thing left was cutting the power.

Now, when I start the computer it boots up normally into windows, but after like 30 seconds to one minute after I am on my desktop, the screen cuts to black. The CPU cooler is still running at this point, but the cooler of my graphics card was shutting down. Pressing the power button didnt have any results (which is weird), so I had to cut the power again. I already had some GPU problems in the past, so I switched it for my old one, same error, but this time the GPU cooler is still running too.

So at this point I thought its probably some kind of hardware defect, but which one? And then I started the computer into windows safe mode and.... nothing, everything works fine, it runs and runs and runs, no black screen, no crash. I tried a system restore, no result, chkdsk etc. nothing either. Then I booted up the Windows installer with an USB stick and... black screen after a minute. So why is the safe mode working, but it crashes with the Windows Installer?

I wanted to try a new windows install, but I can't create a new partition while in safe mode and the installer crashes for me, too risky to do anything there.

So what do you guys think? Is it a software error? Hardware? Any tips what I can do?

*Edit:
