Recently back to gaming after 10 years

I have just recently bought a new desktop computer with an AMD FX-6350, coupled with a RADEON HD 7570 2GB, and 10 gigs of ram.

Now I know this isn't the greatest GPU for gaming but it should at least be able to let me get a leg in the door.

I use to love playing RTS games like Command & Conquer aftermath and Tiberriun Sun, the original world of warcraft, and games of the sort. But they seemed a little easier to build up empires and start taking over others compared to more recent RTS games that I've looked at.

I'm just looking for some good recommendations of games I should look at that would run well with my rig.

I would prefer some RTS games but would not be against anything worth looking at. I also enjoy first person shooters, and anything realistic like driving or flight simulators(although I only have a mouse and keyboard, no joystick or controller).

Thanks for any suggestions.

  1. Starcraft 2 would do alright.
  2. Thanks. That looks a like like I was use to.
  3. How about the Mass Effect series, the two Witcher releases, Fallout 3 & Fallout NV, and Skyrim to name a few.
  4. Yea, I will definitely check those out. Thanks
  5. Civilization 5 is pretty fun.

Supreme Commander (although a bit old) is the spiritual successor of Total Annihilation.

Or get Total Annihilation because it's still that good, but that's because it's basically the Skyrim of RTS games, in terms of modding.
