I'm building a new "overkill" gaming PC in about a day and I want to make sure I'm getting the best of the best. I will be gaming at 2560x1440 (and possibly higher resolutions) in addition to video editing and various other work-related tasks.

CPU will likely be a 4770k, although I may decide to go with a 4930k. I will not be doing any overclocking.

2x ASUS Graphics Cards R9290X - [$1198]

2x EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked - [$1460]

Which boat are you in?

Definitely the
Titan = 780 With extra Vram Slight stock clock bump
Titan Black = 780Ti with extra Vram slock clock bump

I wasn't advocating the switch just pointing out that the 780TI was as large he should go unless he really doesn't like his money. In which case I am up for donations! :D
