I was wondering how I can fix this issue? It is really noticable against white backgrounds and black.

The monitors are the exact same model and size, the only difference is one is connected via HMDI, the secondary is DVI-D Single Link.

The HDMI Main monitor seems more "clear" and the colors seem more "real" where as the secondary seems to have a slight washed out look.

I checked all of the monitor settings and also the software gamma/brightness/contrast/rgb levels. with no luck.. I included a pic to try to show what I mean.

Change the settings on one of them. Identical settings on identical monitors does not always mean an identical picture.

My 2 HP IPS screens are ever so slightly different. Bought at the same time as a pair.
Also, consider getting a display calibrator.
