Hi,

So I am wanting to build a new computer for my girlfriend. She mainly plays Sims 3 and will be getting Sims 4 when it comes out. She wants a computer that will be able to play these on max settings with ease and also load quickly. On top on this she wants a computer that will also be capable of playing other games such as COD, Crysis 3 etc.

I have a 250gb SSD on the build I was going to partition into 2 so there is a section for OS and section for games. Do you think an SSD would add much to game loading times such as Sims 3 & 4?

I have put together a computer on PC part picker - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3cKNL

Do you think this build will be adequate? Would you swap/change bits?

Any input/suggestions would be much appreciated.

it is a revision of your build, with better price/performance parts selection
fx 6300 is cheaper and perform similar in gaming
better mobo
cheaper hdd
cheaper psu

My version of the build, removed FX-8350 put in 8320+CPU cooler ( because the stock one is absolute junk I would not wish it on my worst enemy)

FX-8320 + CPU cooler> 8350 for user experience in my opinion as your PC doesn't sound like a jet.

You could alternatively just get the 8350+CPU cooler of course.

Got higher quality mobo in the 8320 build though with money saved on PSU, the PSU is perfectly good for you.

The Motherboard has an 8+2 phase power for the CPU(this is superior at providing power to the fx-8CPU's than the 4+2 phase on the board you chose, the voltage regulation modules will run cooler)

SSD was a great idea.

Good gaming PC.

you dont need the 8350 its just a clocked version of the 8320.heres a gtx 770 a lot flawless than the gtx 760 and of course these specs will max out sims 3 or any game. :)

+1, if you don't want the 8350 get the 8320 as they are literally the same. You can even OC the 8320 to the same maxed out point that the 8350 goes.
