A year ago I put off buying 8GB or ram because 4 was serving me fine. I now regret that choice as the prices have gone up. I also know why they went up. I had hoped that after 7 months the prices would have stopped rising, perhaps even lower a little. Instead they've just gotten more expensive.

What I'm wondering is, should I expect the prices to be even higher by the summertime or will they be as they are now/lower? What do you think?

Does that mean the price will go up even more by the fall or should I expect that to start happening after?

The DRAM makers are already starting production of DDR4, as they gear up more production lines for that, the DDR3 will continue to rise in price, the Memory chips themselves are being binned/picked across for for DDR4 sticks as we speak, DDR4 will run on less voltage

considering my first ram upgrade was 4meg and that cost me $220, i wouldn't say ram prices are that high these days.

that and thing it was EMM386 allowed you to access the reserved CGA and EGA memory along with the page frame (even remember the memory address E000-EFFF, good god that's been eons ago, would dig around to find a few bytes that could be opened up LOL!
