Anybody knows why R9 290X increase core clock and memory clock during FullHD video play using DXVA2 and how to "fix" it? All video improving functions are turned off in CCC.
Details:
------------
Card: GV-R929XOC-4GD
Drivers tested: 13:12 and 14.2 1.3
Idle core clock: 300MHz
Idle mem clock: 150MHz
Core clock when using DXVA: ~1000MHz (nearly max, depends on video, but at least ~500MHz)
Mem Clock when using DXVA: 1250Mhz (it's max, any video)
Video: for example Samsung.Demceanic.Life.x264.1080p.40Mbps.mkv
It's really annoyning because GPU Temperature will rise to ~60C, fans will react and increase from idle 1220RPM to more than 2k so quiet card become the loudest component.
