Power Supply Fan Not Working (New PSU)

Built the whole computer just fine, but when the computer is turned on the PSU does a little spin then stops. After awhile of use the computer will suddenly shut off (I'm assuming this is due to the CPU overheating as it's reaching temps of 180°F)

  1. That sounds like motherboard problems.
  2. Did you put thermal paste on the cpu? basic question i know but just making sure
  3. The problem is your PSU is one of the worst brands on the market.

    Tier 5 - Other than the units listed above for any of these brands, NOT RECOMMENDED.
    Replace ASAP if you have one.

  4. Yes, but it is the stock thermal paste nothing fancy like Arctic Silver

    There's other issues , but the PSU is very very poor.

  15. Seasonic , XFX which is made by SEASONIC , Antec , Corsair HX or AX series.
