So I installed a new graphics card, a evga gtx 660 ( not ti version ) hooked up everything and powered on and minor says no signal. I tried vga to dvi adapter. Video port to dvi and hdmi to my hdmi tv and nothing. Everything inside is on. No beeps, fans spin normally, no overheating. I take out the graphics card and my pc works fine. I have an hp envy 700-074 ( already upgraded the psu successfully ) windows 8, it has integrated graphics. I pressed f10 to edit the bios but didn't see an option to turn off integrated graphics. Tried updating my bios and have current version. I disabled my driver for my integrated graphics and installed the new card but still nothing. Anyone know what's going on? It'd really help.

Did you attach the proper 6/8-pin connectors?

If you did...
I know you looked, but I think your problem is that you need to change the BIOS setting.

Since the board supports a dedicated card, or graphics from the CPU it must have a setting in the BIOS that you can use.

I suppose it might just be an AUTO feature and just automatically detect which monitor is plugged in but I'd be surprised if that was the case.

Not sure what else to say other than contact HP Tech Support.

photonboy is somewhat right in that it's a good idea to go through your BIOS settings one more time. However, a MB that auto detects and disables on-board video isn't really that uncommon, actually more so in lower end, pre-built systems. Hell, A few hours ago I was in a thread where that was the case on a older HP with a factory intel MB. It's more the upper end of MBs that give you more options and control over your BIOS, factory systems tend to not be the case.

I installed a evga 600w power supply with 49A on 12V rail. And yes I'm definitely sure I attached the proper 6 pin connector. Can I Change my bios any other way? Or switch from integrated?

The only way I know of is in the BIOS. Usually under something like "Advanced" then "Primary Display Adapter" or "Display Device" or "First Display Device". I looked it up on my computer and it's under "Advanced" then "primary Display Adapter" then tried to find it on a old Dell tower I have laying around and there simply is no option to change it.

Edit: That PSU shouldn't be any issues. I'm pretty sure I have the same one powering a GTX 760 actually. If it is then you should have 2 of the 6+2 pin connectors, try the other one if you can.

The EVGA is a nVidia card. nVidia makes the chips and a reference card. Then other companies (EVGA, MSI, ASUS, etc.) produce the cards using chipsets from nVidia. Usually they OC them and toss on different cooling options. Same thing with a different logo when it boils down to it.
