Why are all of my games closing?

I'm not sure where I should post this on the forums, but hopefully this is a right category.

I just had a problem with getting a new CPU into my first PC build. After getting the OS up and running, none of my games are working. I have task manager open, so I can see that when I launch the game as administrator, the application launches, and a process is created for the game. Shortly after launching, the game will disappear from the process list. My games were tested and properly running until about yesterday, where I tried launching South Park - The Stick of Truth(nosTEAM version). The game was working 2 days ago. At first, I thought I got a bad torrent, but after failing to get a working download today, I decided to try and play Thief today (This game was also working 2 days ago) and found that it was doing the same thing. All of my other steam games are giving me the same problem(Saints Row, Thief, Sleeping Dogs.)

The OS I am running is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I put this on Sunday(3/16/14). Today, I saw that I did not activate my windows yet, and saw the sign in the bottom right corner of my screen saying that I am not using a genuine version, so activated my OS, and it says it is 'genuine' but the games still will not launch.

I have 8gb of ddr3 1600 ram, a compatible mobo, and 3 core cpu, so I should be able to run it.(My current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ccflier/saved/43q8)
I am using a 32-bit version of Opera, and Steam and Skype are also all 32-bit(They have a *32 in the process list of Task Manager).

Launching Saints Row IV gives me and error saying "Failed to Create Graphics Device."
I read something scary on a Saints Row forum that said I might have a bad GPU. I will try to test it on a different one, and also make sure the fan isn't being stopped by a wire, cause that could make it overheat.

Solution
do a clean uninstall of the driver and reinstall the driver. If the problem persists try the GPU in a different machine and see if that one is affected too. This will tell you if the GPU is bad.
First of all we are not allowed to help with non-genuine software so you will not find help for torrented and cracked software here. I suggest you get a genuine copy of windows to start with. no reinstall necessary just need to enter the code for it.

I got rid of the 'torrent' parts so that we are no longer dealing with illegal software, and so that the question is getting help with the software, i.e. steam games, that are not starting up, instead of focusing on the operating system itself. The fact that it was working before I authenticated anything at all shows how little that much mattered to solving the problem. I kept the whole idea of the South Park game, because it could all be caused by my installing a torrent with a virus.

If your afraid you have a Virus then run a virus scan. there are free virus programs out there that can help with this like AVG. usually they are not as good as paid but with some common scents you can stay virus free.

edit for the steam games go into property's for each game and verify the game's files. with out starting steam i can't remember the exact wording for it maybe verify game cache.

A virus scan was the last thing I would resort to only a few days after a computer is built. Call it denial, maybe? But I had trouble building this a few days ago, so I got the most concerned about having to send another part back. I have the trial of Malwarebytes running a full scan on my \\:C Drive, and an AVG Dynamic Whole Computer Scan.
DONE! Halfway though the scan, it picked up 2 trojans in the south park folder. It looked like it was a false positive, but it seems as if it was the source of the problem.

This problem is resolved but I would like to know a permanent solution for a free anit-virus and anti-malware program. Anything you had personal experience with.

I have used AVG free in the past and is why I recommended it. Malwarebytes is good for malware. Since I pay so much for my internet, my ISP gives free McAfee codes if you are a customer so I no longer need to buy an antivirus program or use the free ones.

After a few minutes the problem started happening again. This is the error I get in device manager.
"windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (code 43)"

I went to check my drivers using AMD Catalyst and got this error message.
"No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your hardware"

I clicked 'OK', and Catalyst didn't show anything about my gpu.

I used AMD auto detect. I made sure to keep my computer on and running for a few hours(while I was in school). I came back and though the PC was sleeping, the drivers are functioning. Thanks, and hopefully I won't run into this problem anymore.
