Hi! I just bought an Asus GTX 760 and performs very well on my pc but after a month of playing games I noticed when it comes to cutscenes like in AC4 and Thief that it goes very slow even though in game fps are 55-80 in high settings, then I noticed my gpu fan speed went up to 70. Does it affect my gpu being that slow?

Solution
If your card gets too hot it will throttle itself down to reduce heat. You will lose performance when this happens. Try getting some extra fans or a better case.

Download and install MSI Afterburner and adjust the fan curve on your card to speed up the fan on the card to cool it down quicker. It is normal for it to slow down when it gets hot. Try this and lower your temps, also you can try adjusting the fan speeds to your case and do some cable management to increase the airflow.

well when I mean slow I mean all my games go very slow. To fast then after an hour itll go very slow and its annoying! Ill go do that, at first I thought it was factory defect cause it was perfectly working fine even though it goes hot and my games are still smooth now when it overheats the games run very slow. I dont get it :v
