To sum it all up I am looking for a USB wireless adapter for the computer, I am going to use it for taking the Ethernet connection and bridging it, to make it into a wireless connection. In short I want to make the adapter into a WAP. I am not looking for a router or a repeater, just to avoid being asked later. Any suggestions on a cheap sensible one? I will be beside it while using it. Not sure if it had to be dual band or have the name dongle on it( pretty sure dongle is just another word for adapter).

i have never seen an adapter that will do that by itself. it may be possible but you would have to set the computer up almost as a server to do the routing of information back and forth and

It works, there is even a video on youtube for it. I already have an adapter but the one I have doesn't work for that purpose. I'm thinking it might have to be dual channel for it to work like that but I am not sure. Which is why I came here.

You can do the same thing with a laptop, once the laptop is connected to the internet with say an Ethernet cable, you can use the laptops wireless to make a network to communicate with other wireless devices and even connect them to the internet.

Then I don't understand what you are leaning at. I already know it can be done, I just don't know what a good usb wireless adapter I should use. The youtube video didn't say what he was using, he only went over the steps.
