sound stop working

Try restarting your pc, it works for me sometimes
otherwise this might work:
1. go to control panel
2. view by icons if you weren't already
3. go to device manager
4. hit the arrow on the sound, video, and game controllers
5. highlight your sound device
6. in the icons at the top, hit disable
7. hit yes
8. wait for icons to return to previous state
9. then re-enable it the same way as you disabled it
Works for me sometimes, not guaranteeing it will work in your case, but I hope it does
