I have downloaded all the Drivers for my MSI Z87-G45 motherboard so when I make my computer I'll be able to install them without going to the website. Do I need to install ALL the utilities? As in are they mandatory? Or will they actually benefit me? Also I have heard that you do not NEED to update bios and that it isn't recommended unless there is something wrong with it. Is this true? I am making my first computer build and I would like some insight about these and whether I should update Bios or get any Utilities. I don't want to mess anything up. And I do no plan to install Live Update 5. Thank YOU!!!

Ok. I own the 46, and many of the utilities are just sponsored programs. I would update the BIOS, the new one can contain performance changes and other important things along with CPU support.

The MSI site has about 8 different Bios Updates. Do I download all of them or just he lastest one or the one I need? It also says "Users who download BIOS from here (not using Live Update) should use the flash utility included in the downloaded compressed file when doing the BIOS update. To avoid BIOS update failure, please do not use older versions of the update utility or utilities not provided by MSI.

We suggest using Chrome, Firefox 3.0 or IE 8.0 above browsers to download BIOS, Drivers, etc."

So would I install BIOS update first THEN mobo drivers? And also is that considered Flashing the Mobo? Sorry I just want to be 100% sure about everything. I really appreciate the help.

"Flashing"= Fancy geek word for update, sort of saying the way it works. It will work either way, I would do MOBO first to get networking. Just download the latest BIOS.

Oh okay! Thanks. Just one more question. I won't brick the motherboard in anyway then if I just install normally right?
