based on your use . distance . speed . cost . PoE and other stuff from cat 5e to cat6a . . fibre shouln't be an option if using home networking. .

Eh, I wouldn't bother with shielded unless you're running 10G, and near the edge of its range.
Yeah, only place I'd use fibre is probably inter-building links or backhaul. It's still technically ethernet, though.

You need to better define BEST. Running cables that can run higher capacity than your equipment interfaces does no good. If you are a home users that has 1g ports cat-5e will run just as fast as cat6,cat6a,cat7 etc. As long as a cable is good enough to meet the specs of your equipment there is nothing "better" they will all run at the speed that is controlled by the equipment.
So the general answer for most people is buy cat5-e unless cat6 happens to be cheaper.
Now if you asking about the 10g ports then you need to go to a minimum of cat-6a.

However, you won't be able to later upgrade to 10GbE (well, not officially) if you go for the Cat5e route. You might want to do that in another few years.
I'd always go for Cat6/6a, currently. Re-running cable is hard.
