I went over to the computer shop today. I was picking it lighting. Then I saw card readers. One was 40 dollars and one was 12. They looked similar. I know one is more well known the the other. But can anyone tell me the reason of the price difference?

probably the ammounts of formats they support. some support alot and are 7 in 1 card readers some only support a few and are 3 in 1 readers

well that 1 more or less combined with what the brand charges and the software that come or doesnt come with it, is probably why it is more or less.
if you just want to be able to work with your sd card to access your info just buy the cheapest one at the store. depending on the store and sales associate if you take your card in with you, they can verify if it works with your card or not. i bought one at staples for my laptop and they tried it for me
