Hi,
I have an amd fx 9590 cpu which runs at 70°c max load with Prime95 and two r9 290xs. I currently only get around 40-70 fps with League at low settings, which I believe should be much higher. I do not know what is going wrong with my set up. I have turned vsync on and off, disabling anti aliasing, etc. but nothing seems to change my frames drastically. I have all of my graphics drivers up to date, so it's also not that. I'm not really sure what else to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :).

The melting point of silicon is 90c, 80 is too hot. You also need to consider where the temperature reading is coming from, and how accurate it really is.

It might be hitting 70 and the board is just reducing performance to maintain that temperature.

I could have sworn the melting point of Silicon was much higher, in the ~1000°C range, since it is so tightly covalently bonded with 4 covalent bonds per atom. Unless CPUs don't use silicon crystal, which would seem odd to me.

The solder, sorry, will come loose at 90 and it will fall out of place.
The old Videocards used led.
