Problems with connecting to router

i recently bought a trendnet 811dru router and i haven't had a stable connection yet. i try using the "troubleshoot problems" and i get errors with my default gateway and such. if i am connected to the router, its reallllyyyy slow and most of the time limited with that yellow triangle. right now im using a tplink wn8000nd wireless adapter, and it works perfectly fine with my old router. and yes i upgraded the firmware, and did plenty of resets

+1 for check via ethernet
also, if you are in a busy area as in appartment where everyone has wifi something.....you may try changing the transmit channel....may be too many on that channel fighting to get across.

everyones connections but my desktop works fine. there is an issue between my adapter and the router. both were bought new. yes, i have tried many hard resets. like i said, i called trendnet for troubleshooting, and they told me to exchange it. which i did, now i having the same problem.

i do not know if you mentioned this or tried it....have you tried conencting both ways with the adapter? What I mean is by using the utility software with the adapter and with windows controlling it?
