I have an ASUS P8P67 REV 3.1 Motherboard and for the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to get the computer to boot up. I found the Red CPU LED is on steady. I replaced the Intel Core i5 2500 CPU, but I have the same issue. The computer starts, shuts off, starts again, shuts off, etc. I now noticed there are some bent pins on the CPU Socket which I think may be the issue. It is very difficult to get to the socket to take a look or even repair those pins. Is there a way the socket can be removed from the MB so it would be much easier to try and fix this issue or should I just consider this a lost cause and get another Motherboard?

It's honestly a lost cause, you're better off just getting a new motherboard. The socket cannot be removed and is fragile.

You could try and bend them back but it's not recommended and will generally just do more damage.

It's time go get a new board. You can try and bend them back, but if you've never done it before I can almost guarantee you'll break one bending it back. They are very fragile. But, you might as well give it a shot to use until you get a new one. Even if you do manage to bend them back, I wouldn't trust it indefinitely.
