The minimum requirement for card is 350 watts but my power supply is dell branded with 305 watts... i just need to know if I'm on a safe side... I need to run Modern Warfare 3.

  1. How much amp does your 12V rail supports (it will tell you on the PSU's label)

    -12V ---- /1 A Max
    +3.3V -----/17 A Max

    +12VB ---- /18 A Max

it something says like this.. i don't know what the hell that means though :??:

    Input : 100v --- 120v = /9A 50 - 60 GHZ
    200 - 240v = /45A 50 -60 GHZ

    Output:+5v -----/2 A Max -12V------ /1A Max
    +5( VFP) ---- 4A Max +3.3V----/17A Max
    +12VA ------ /18A Max +12VB----18A Max

( I hope this helps... i just noted it down from PSU's Label )

The PSU will be able to handle GT 630 for sure. However, whether that card will be enough for your need is another question.
What resolution are you planning to run MW3 on?

The Card supports Modern Warfare 3..... however while playing MW3 game lags a bit and then gets stuck and then the black screen appears on my monitor and the game shuts down.. probably because i have 1.GB of Ram... which i need to upgrade.. or probably it's because I've installed the pirated version of the game....

    I'm planning to run on *1280 x 1024*

If you can afford and current build is compatible, I would recommend a better card than GT 630 because it's just not worth the money anymore. Again, that's if your budget and build can afford.

But my Ram is only 1GB... do you think it has to do anything to do with running the game properly ?... or what if my power supply is not enough ?.... my graphics card has to run it even on low settings.
  8. one more question... is it possible to change your power supply in dell optiplex 745 ?
  9. I will be able to tell you if you can find me a picture of the PC, or the back of the PC.
