Sound card problems

I recently picked up a soundblaster z. I put it in a PCI 16 slot. However whenever I turn on the computer it starts up and then immediately shuts off. Like the lights turn on then turn off. This only occurs when I have the soundblaster in the slot. I took out the soundcard and everything runs fine. I Would normally think that maybe I am drawing too much wattage now but with a 600w psu I should be fine.

Specs
GTX 670
I5 3470k Overclocked to 4.2GHz
8g ram
600W PSU

Maybe its bad soundcard, try turning off your onboard soundcard in bios, maybe there is a kind of conflict, dont know will it help, it can be bad pci-e slot too. Try that card in another computer etc. to diagnose the problem

Putting it in a different slot didnt work. It has something to do witht he power consumption. Im going to try to test it on another computer when I can
