Heya

So here is the layout of my network

Workstation with 2 cards
1 cards > Static IP 192.168.2.10 > Netgear router 192.168.2.1 > Internet
2 cards > Static IP 192.168.1.15 > Switch (lack of DHCP) so I connected spare router to one of ports> Then to the remaining ports I connected nas + 5 computers with ips 192.168.1.24-30. Forgot to mention I DO NOT want internet here. Just lan not internet on those computers.

The problem is that this rig dont really works. I lose internet and some network programs lag like hell...

How can I set it up properly?
Thanks, bye.

Ok that sort off work. My internet appears to work smooth now but.

I sort off lost my computers on network. I can access them via IP. But my managing programs dont see them anymore :(

How can I sort that out?

I am a network guy I have limited knowledge when it comes how some of the microsoft stuff works. You are best off using the IP to access them otherwise you are going to have to figure out which software is doing the name resolution and why it will not work on a dual nic machine. Maybe someone else will know but I suspect you will have to post more about what management programs you are talking about.

Heya

Thanks for info !

I'm using only 2 for the moment.
ReFaMo - http://www.refamo.com/
and
Deadline - http://www.thinkboxsoftware.com/deadline/

But the big problem I actually have - and just realized that I lost access to my mapped drive. So none of the 5 computers can access my workstation HDD if I dont have that default getaway.

So I need it in order to get hdds map working.

OK Sorted.

I ended up going back to 1 router but this time I didnt put DNS in IP list for pcs I didnt wanted to have internet on and I disable all services from Router on those pcs. All works as I wanted :)
