Dell xps 8500 upgrade

Hello,

Im looking to upgrade my graphics card from my gtx 640 in my dell XPS 8500 and have seen a few cards that I like but not sure if they will work in my system on the standard power supply.

I have seen the GTX 660, gtx 750 and Gtx 750 TI,

I just need to know if these will work in my system with the default power supply, would be a great help

The standard PSU on your XPS 8500 is 460w. Decide on a graphics card model, then go to the product page on the manufacturer's website. Under "Specifications" it should tell you the required PSU wattage they recommend.

Their recommendation, however, is usually more power than is needed in practice for most people, but better to have power in reserve than using a PSU which is only borderline sufficient, especially if that PSU has been working hard for a few years.
