I freshly reinstalled Windows 7 and now I cant find the battery icon in the task bar. When I tried to customize the notification settings, it showed " This notification icon is not currently active. It will be shown the next time it is activated." How do I activate the icon?

Hi ranger37,
Try this:

Right-click the taskbar -> Properties -> in the "Notification Area" section, click the "Customize" button

...and then setting the appropriate icons to "Show icon and notifications"

Hi mickypheonix,
thanx for the tip, but that is what I tried first and got a message that the Icon has to be activated. I found that in "System Icons" I cant switch the battery icon from "off" to "on". But for all other icons I can turn it either on or off.
