My pc is not showing anything on monitor.I want to format and computer and install Windows XP Service Pack-2 which I have downloaded and burn it in CD.Please someone help me as soon as possible...:( PLEASE

no actually for the first time when i started it i jst pressed F8.then it showed nothing and normal startup went on.so i jst checked few thng and then switched it off.and when later i turned it on mouse is receiving power,cpu is working,monitor is also working but nothing is shown on screen so can you suggest me its solution
