I currently do not have gpu to game so I'm looking for one to play 2560x1600p bf4 and some other demanding games. Should I pick up the evga 780ti acx superclocked for $729 or wait for Maxwell??? I heard rumors of June and if I wait couple weeks to order I could use EVGA step up program to get Maxwell. Also heard it could be over year until Maxwell...

No one knows for sure when the Maxwell series will come out. The 800 series that has been released to laptops are still using the old 28 nm technology. The real Maxwell series with 20 nm technology is still a guess. Some say they will get released in the next quarter this year. Personally I'm leaning to the end of this year or first quarter of 2015.
