Solution

Thanks for the reply, I would switch back to directx if i could even open my game! haha
I join a server and when the game opens i get the white screen and mantle error. I don't want to have to reinstall for the fourth time!
BF4 is buggy enough and now they throw a new technology into the mix.

Mantle is not quite ready for prime time (at least with BF4). Most people are just switching to the directx version until things between AMD and EA get worked out with the mantle implementation.

If you are using the Mantle implementation, you're on the unofficial beta test side of things.

Did you use DDU to uninstall drivers? It should be done in safe mode where DDU disables Windows auto driver install, then reboots into normal mode which is when you should install the drivers. I learned the hard way. Install the official drivers (13.12).

If that doesn't work, I don't recall the exact steps but did have the same problem you have.

Mantle works fine for me @1680 x 1050 with exceptionally high FPS and no spikes, but the vram exceeds 3gb (card limit) @1920 x 1080 after a bit and the spikes start in.

Hello, i have the same problem, i canot play att all with mantle on! You can enter the game though in the campaign mode ( mantle seems to work fine there) and change to direct x in the options, exit and multiplayer will probably work fine than, at least thats how i did it!

I get EXACTLY the same problem with my R9 280x Crossfire on 14.4 drivers. Mantle really have a very huge memory leak anyway both on Ram and Vram. I don't know wtf happened as it was working before I reboot then I used the (AMD Clock Patcher) to use a custom resolution with a higher pixel clock above 300Mhz in 120Hz and now after I rebooted to apply the fix, I get this error (-_-)
