Okay so I've recently just built a PC for my friend and I installed his Sound card into the PCI slot. It's about two slots away from the GPU and a good three slots away from the PSU. I've never used a sound card myself so I'm not sure how it's supposed to work or be used.

After I installed it, I uninstalled the Realtek Audio from the Device Manager and then proceeded to install the drivers from the disk. One restart later and I test it out. The back green port (Front) has a bunch of white noise but when I plug it into the front I/O headphone jack that is connected to the sound card, it works great and I can notice the difference. I still can't figure out why it's so much white noise on the back port. Am I not supposed to connect a headphone back there?

This is the only thing left for me to finish completing his PC.
