So I wiped a hard drive over night, and when I woke up this morning I'm seeing this screen, Reboot and Select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device.

The hard drive was not my main one, it was just sitting in there so I thought I'd wipe it. Windows is on another one, but it won't let me boot to it. All was fine and plucky before I wiped this seemingly innocent drive. Any ideas?

Solution
Check your bios to ensure the good hdd is set a default boot device.

Also the rare occasion that the boot info was on the other hdd, if so, boot off your windows dvd/usb and use the recovery option to repair boot info.

It is worth disconnecting the second hdd when you do this.
