Hi, I am new to tomshardware. I am seeking any advise on upgrading my current system but hesitating whether should I wait for Skylake or not.

This is my current system:
CPU: Intel i7 860 Processor, 2.80Ghz, 8MB L3 Cache, Socket LGA1156 Lynnfield Quad Core 4 Thread Turbo Boost
RAM: Corsair Dominator GT CMG4GX3M2A1600C7 4GB (2x XMS3 2GB) PC-12800 (1600MHz) DDR3
Motherboard: Asus P7P55D-EVO LGA1156 ATX
Graphic Cards: Asus ENGTX260/HTDI/896M/A, GTX260, 216SP, 896MB DDR3, 448bit
PSU: 850W "Corsair" TX-850 ATX Power Supply

Any suggestion are welcome and yes I know my system is old >"<!!

I don't believe it is entirely necessary for you to wait for Skylake. You can get noticeable improvements right now. From a GPU perspective, you would see a rather big improvement jumping to a current gen GTX 760 versus your 260.

Thanks oOSlushyOo and barto.

My concern is will the DDR4 has a significant performance improve in the speed for the GPU when I spending ~$500 for the GTX780 or Titan Black for DDR3 GPU.

Or should I just get a decent ~$200 upgrade on GPU (e.g. GTX660 OC or R9 270X) which will have some noticeable improvements then only do a full upgrade on the CPU, Mobo, GPU, and RAM all together and using my existing PSU and SSD.

Hopefully I am not being naive keep thinking to get the best in market and last for few years.
