Is there a better Motherboard setup for same price?

I'm thinking about pairing a Intel Core i7-3820 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor and Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 ATX LGA2011 Motherboard.
Is there anything better for the same price.

Used partpicker doesn't seem to have any LGA differences, the only complication is probably the BIOS update.
  3. The i5 4670k is alot better and is almost the same performance the the i7 4770k this cpu should be alot better with z87 mobo no need for bios update on this either.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Micro Center)
    Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($109.99 @ Micro Center)
    Total: $299.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

If the i5 4670k is better or has similar performance is the i7 4770k just a gimmick or are there legitimate advantages.
  5. i7 4770k is slightly better than the i5 4670k if you want the 4770k why not? but im just saying going cheaper around slightly lower performance the 4670k is the best
