Anyone have information on the motherboard speaker and what the beeps mean? I can't find information about it. Not in the manual or on the website. Here is more info:

I have the aforementioned motherboard, and earlier I switched out the fan that was plugged into the CPU fan socket with another fan. But this new fan didn't have a tiny 4 pin connector, it was hooked up to a large 4 pin connector, so I hooked it up to my PSU. I turn on the computer, and there is a continuous beep from the motherboard speaker because I had CPU Fan Fail Warning on and there wasn't a fan plugged into it. So I disabled it, and the long beep stopped.

So I'm using the computer, and occasionally a beep comes out of the speaker. It won't stop. I even put in a fan that has a small 4 pin connected, and connected it to the CPU_fan socket, and it is still making that beep.

Anyone have this problem? I looked on the gigabyte website and didnt see information on it. It's not in the manual either.

how high is the CPU temperature?

there should be a setting in the BIOS for CPU temp and when that is reached the BIOS will start beeping

It's not the CPU temp. It happens when im browsing the net or the comp is idling. I have had temp monitors on and they don't show temperature spikes.
