Back again – thanks for all the help so far guys. :)

So I'm a little worried about how much headroom my PSU should have and all the posts I've Googled seem to vary with how many watts one's computer is actually consuming. So my build (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3deLZ – feel free to comment on it) is estimated to consume 477W max but I plan on over clocking the GPU, CPU and creating a RAID 0 (will that use more power?).

Will my 650watts be enough? The only upgrade I see in the future is throwing two more 7200rpm drives in there to expand my storage.

Thanks!

It will be fine but if it goves you peace of mind then you can probably get a higher output for less than that. Eg. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1750bbef...

I've never built my own computer before and I'm trying to build a Hackintosh at the same time. Now, I'd assume a PSU is a PSU – would this be okay even though it's not on the recommend list?
