Hello,
Just bought a 3tb WD external drive, and connected it to my win7 machine. It seems that the computer is getting halted by this drive after a few minutes (about 20-30) the computer is not used. It the drive 100% since the computer runs well without it. When I play a game, the computer is ok. I thought maybe it's sleep mode, but sm is disabled both on comp and drive.

Please advise, what should I do ?

Thanks

Restart your PC & then Connect External 3 TB Drive to back USB Connector,Avoid Front USB for this drive at least :).Waiting for your comments after you done :p

No this may make your Motherboard defective. Also Check Your Motherboard Supports USB 3.0.( IF your External drive using 3.0 ) :bounce:
