I prefer MSI Twin Frozr cards. Best cooling in the business. I've used XFX, gigabyte (3 fans!) and MSI TF and the MSI card ran coolest out of them all. I've got a massive overclock on my MSI card and I never even break 70C with 60% fan speed.

Also depends on how cool the temp in the case is and room temp with air flow. Personally I really do enjoy the the Gigabyte 3x Windforce. RPM in my case runs at 720-780 with an idle of 27-29C and load reaches about 65C at about 65-70% fan speed overclocked by 10%. Although this is on a 770

The MSI V and GigabyteE GV-N760OC-2GD w/ Core Clock = 1085 MHz / Boost Clock = 1150 MHz, have great coolers, custom PCBs and beefed up VRMs, are nicely clocked outta the box and historically overclock very well.

The Asus card would previously have been in the above group and while it also shares a great cooler, custom PCB and beefed up VRM, and great OC potential, Asus' decision to equip all that w/ a puny overclock(Core Clock = 1006MHz / Boost Clock = 1072MHz) knocks it outta the league with the othe rtwo.

The EVGA Superclocked also has lower clocks outta the box than the top 2, and a very good cooler, though EVGA this time has gone non-reference with this SC card, the VRM they used is merely a different brand and brings nothing extra to the table. Among all the cards available, the SC is one I'd never touch....the EVGA Classified is a great card but to pay a premium price for a reference card with a "stock equivalent" VRM, no way.

The Zotac Amp I think is currently the highest clocked 2 GB card available on newegg but I'm not as ye comfy with the Zotac Brand.... but getting there.

Ya might be wondering about the 2GB versus 4GB thing .... take a peek at this to help w/ ya decision making

As for which of the top 2, it comes down to aesthetics and price.....The MSI is the more attractive of the two on it's own and it's a better match with Asus RoG MoBos and Mushkin Redlines .... two products oft found in enthusiast builds.

It between performance, noise and temp levels. EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SC is the best known for performance:

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($249.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $249.99

Looking out for better temps and noise levels, you may want to consider MSI N760 TF:

In my experience, the EVGA SC series usually comes in last versus the other Big4's factory OC'd cards once the user manually overclocks the card to its full potential. Outta the box, the EVGA SC is on par with the competition though the clocks are a bit lower (-13MHz) than the Giga and MSI.

This is because the competition uses a non-reference design with custom PCBs and beefed up VRMs to better handle the load and keep the VRM cooler with extra phases. EVGA FTW does well, EVGA Classified does extremely well but not the SC.

If ya peruse the 760 reviews however, the 760 SC does very well .... at stock speeds..... but it is extremely hot and noisy ....a whopping 15dBA louder and 13C hotter than the MSI and with the non reference board, the MSI / Giga are the better overclockers. There's also the MSI hawk if ya can find one in stock which really shines.

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_760_msi_hawk_review,1.html

MSI Hawk = Core Clock: 1205 MHz / Boost Clock: ~1372MHz / Memory Clock: 6750 MHz

Here again, as with the 770, the Asus board shoots itself in the foot, as well as the head and the ass with a meager overclock outta the box.

i do agree with you. EVGA SC can be bit harsh with noise levels but aren't that bad with temperature profile.
