Is updating my GTX 660 2GB worth it at this moment?

I really want to upgrade my PC, but I feel I'm doing it for the wrong reasons. There are games like Arkham Knight that I will play day one.. But I know an upgrade will have to be made. Here are my specs other than the video card.

i5 3570k 3.40Ghz
Asus P8Z77 V LX( No SLI support)
600w Bronze Corsair CX
16 GB 2x 8 GB Corsair DDR3 RAM
2 TB WD HDD(Windows 7, main boot drive)
1 TB Seagate HDD(Ubuntu 13.10)
Realtek Wifi LAN and HD Sound cards
Cooler Master Hyper 212+ Heat sink
Haff 922 case, using the stock fans
LG blu ray drive and burner

I need some wattage calculations, because here are the options and I want to save money, but also get an excellent rig

1.) Get the GTX 770 4GB FTW EVGA tomorrow, then wait till Christmas and get an SLI MOBO from Asus and upgrade power supply to 850w so I can have a second 770.

2.) Will the 600w be sufficient for 1x 770? It says it will on Nvidia's site

3.) Nvidia announced the 800M series for laptops and mobile, should I wait to the 800 series and sky lake?

I want to upgrade fort he right reasons. My rig isn't that good. It's medium ranged. I have college and all. But having a high end PC would be nice.

The 770 is a great upgrade from the 660. It will max out pretty much everything at 1080p.

A 600w power supply will definitely handle it, your system won't use more than 325-350w tops. Waiting is almost never worth it in the tech world, unless you have a set release date, set prices, and set specs lol

I understand when running games the only things that matter are the horse power of the GPU, the GPUs VRAM and the actual memory RAM. I could be wrong, but in SLI for the i5 3570k, will be any bottlenecks?

I was referring to gold because enthusiast series power supplies observe more watts on the +12V rails. But yes, looks like the RM750 has bad capacitors. Corsair should outsource manufacture of all PSU's to Seasonic; those not manufactured by Seasonic turn out to be mostly crap. Thank you for pointing that out.
@OP You could also go with Antec or XFX; they also make good PSU's, and of course Seasonic, they're the OEM of almost every high quality product on the market.

No, the 3570k is more than capable of running 2 770s in SLI.

I'm not satisfied with my 660. My first on in 2012 was a dud and it took Nvidia 2 weeks to give me a new one. I also had driver issues past 334.89. My games are going a bit choppy now. I can't even have DVI and HDMI running on my monitor and TV at the same time. I know it's a budget card... But still this is ridiculous.

Thank you for the concern =). I am going to school for software development, but am taking some IT courses as well. I am 21 and still learning, I want to fix and see what works best, instead of having companies rip me off. I loved my 660 for getting the job done. Tomb Raider does however get an impressive 45 FPS on ultra settings though =)
